This Privacy Policy describes how MirrorType ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our iOS keyboard application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

MirrorType does not collect, store, transmit, or share any keystroke data. All text processing — including upside-down text transformation, bubble text conversion, and autocomplete suggestions — happens entirely on your device. No typed content ever leaves your device through MirrorType.

We do not collect:

• Keystrokes, typed text, or text field contents
• Passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive input
• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes

2. Full Access Permission

MirrorType requests the "Allow Full Access" permission in iOS Settings. This permission is used exclusively for the following on-device features:

• Haptic feedback — Providing tactile typing feedback at your chosen intensity level
• Keyboard sounds — Playing optional typing sounds
• App Group communication — Sharing your theme and settings preferences between the main app and the keyboard extension via a shared container on your device
• iCloud sync — If you opt in, syncing your preferences across your Apple devices (see Section 3)

Full Access does not grant MirrorType the ability to read or transmit what you type. iOS sandboxing ensures the keyboard extension cannot access data from other apps.

3. iCloud Settings Sync

MirrorType offers an optional, opt-in iCloud sync feature. When enabled, the following preferences are synced across your Apple devices using your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework:

• Keyboard theme colors (key colors, background, pop-up colors)
• Keyboard sound preference (on/off)
• Haptic feedback level (off, light, medium, high)

This data is stored in your private iCloud database, accessible only to your Apple ID. We cannot read, access, or decrypt this data. No keystroke content is ever included in iCloud sync.

You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the MirrorType app settings. When disabled, no data is sent to or retrieved from iCloud.

4. Third-Party Services

MirrorType does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service used is Apple's CloudKit (iCloud) for optional settings sync, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage

All app settings (theme, sounds, haptics) are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults within a shared App Group container. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.

6. Children's Privacy

MirrorType does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation, does not collect personal data, and is rated 4+ on the App Store.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
